Okja on Kloof – a cookie factory and café with unbelievably tasty treats

You won’t believe that the treats at Okja are vegan. The pastries are light and flaky, the cookies morish and the coffee rich with a unique nutty sweetness that their oat milk adds. The cookie factory can be seen through a glass window behind the counter, maybe you’ll get lucky and see some baking action and score a fresh-out-the-oven treat!

The Labia Theatre – movie magic

In a nook off Orange Street step through is a wrought iron gate hidden in vines. Here you will find the magical Labia Theatre that dates to 1949. The oldest art refectory theatre in South Africa, stepping inside is like going back in time. Think ticket booths, red velvet curtains and golden lettering on old-world wooden kiosk counters.
